A PHOTO FLORA OF THE
DEVON AND CORNWALL PENINSULA

Most images are taken in the Plymouth Area.
However, some images are from further a field and
from habitats in both East and North Devon and South-East Cornwall.

The region has an incredibly wide range of habitats within a very small radius,
these include estuary and saltmarsh, rocky shores, dunes, wetland,
moorland, bogs, lakes and ponds, woodland and wasteland; and of varying pH,
from the acid peat moorland of Dartmoor to the alkaline limestone of Plymouth.

Over 800 native and alien species have been recorded and photographed in such a small space of time, and between 19th April 2004 till the 23rd October 2006. This number excludes various
colour forms of species, and approx. 200 alien plants and garden escapes also included in this site. The site currently contains over 5,000 images.
